Terms of
Service

Version v3 · Effective June 25, 2026

// In short

LeftLane is a personal driving-telemetry logbook for enthusiasts. It is not a racing app and not a driving aid. You are responsible for driving safely and obeying every traffic law. Speeds and other figures are estimates and are never legally accurate.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and LeftLane ("LeftLane", "we", "us"). By creating an account, acknowledging the pre-drive disclaimer, or otherwise using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use LeftLane.

2. Eligibility & age

You must meet the minimum age for your region to use LeftLane — 21 in the United States and 18 in most other supported regions. We verify this from the birthday and region you provide during onboarding.

You must hold a valid driver's licence for any vehicle you operate while using the app, and you must own or be authorised to use the vehicles you add to your garage.

3. Safe and lawful use

LeftLane is a logging tool, not a driving aid. Do not interact with the app while the vehicle is moving — mount your phone before you set off and leave it alone while driving.

You agree not to use LeftLane to plan, encourage, or conduct street racing, speed contests, or any illegal or reckless driving on public roads. Use closed circuits or private land for performance driving.

You are solely responsible for complying with all speed limits, traffic laws, and regulations at all times, regardless of anything the app displays.

4. Your account

You sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for all activity under your LeftLane account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You agree that the data you submit — vehicle details, usernames, photos — is accurate and does not infringe anyone else's rights. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service, fabricate telemetry, or violate these Terms.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create (drives, photos, vehicle data). You grant LeftLane a limited licence to store and process it to operate the app — for example, to map-match a drive, render a share-card, or sync between your devices.

When you choose to share a drive (a share-card, a public verification link, or a live session), you are publishing that content. Anyone with the link may be able to view it. Don't share anything you wouldn't want public.

6. Accuracy of measurements

Speed, acceleration, g-force, distance, lap and 0–100/0–60 times, and every other figure in LeftLane are estimates derived from your phone's GPS and motion sensors. They are affected by signal quality, mounting, and calibration, and are NOT a legally accurate or certified measurement of speed or performance.

Do not rely on LeftLane to contest a traffic citation or to make safety decisions.

7. Subscriptions & payments

Some features require a paid app purchase and/or a subscription. Billing, renewals, refunds, and cancellations are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Manage or cancel a subscription from your store account.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

LeftLane is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LeftLane is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, fine, or harm arising from your use of the app or from your driving. You drive at your own risk.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms. When we make a material change we bump the version and ask you to accept the new text on your next launch. You can stop using LeftLane and delete your account at any time from Settings.
